The objective of Scorpion Solitaire

The goal of Scorpion Solitaire is to make 4 foundation piles with Higher to Lower order from the same suit. Players can achieve this goal by moving cards from the tableau to 4 piles on the right side of the game table.

The game is finished when you build all four suits. The player must make sure that King is the first card and Ace is the last card.

How to Play Scorpion Solitaire?

The game is played with a 52-card deck except for Jokers. The 49 cards make the tableau and the remaining 3 cards create the reserve pile that you can use if you run into a block during the game. Here are some easy steps to play scorpion solitaire.

Setup

It features 3 distinct piles

  • The Tail: The 3 reserve cards are placed in the upper left corner of the table

  • Scorpion Body: The 7 columns of cards in the tableau

  • The Foundation: The place to keep completed suit sequences

Dealing

The first 4 body piles consist of 7 cards. The first 4 cards within the column are face down and the last 3 cards are faceup cards. The last 3 body piles consist of 7 cards but they are all face up, each overlapping the next in descending order. Now the remaining 3 cards are placed in a pile face down at the top left of the table. The four cells are left empty for Foundation.

Playing

Here are step-by-step instructions to play Scorpion Solitaire, have a look at them.

  • Move the cards from one body pile to the next. Players can move any revealed cards to another pile in the body so long as the top card is the same suit and one rank above the cards you are moving. However, you can move Kings to empty piles

  • Deal cards from the tail. If you can not move any card from Tableau then you can deal the cards from the tail to the first 3 piles of the body

  • Reveal facedown cards. When a facedown card in the first 4 columns is exposed you must flip the card over

  • According to the game version, you can undo moves. You can use this option as much as you can to make the game easy but it does not guarantee the win

  • You can not move a completed run to the Foundation until the end of the game. Therefore, you must make all your moves around the completed runs
